Cygnus Capital, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, is an integrated real estate investment and alternative asset management company. Since 2010, Cygnus has focused on opportunistic, special situation, and distressed real estate investments. Cygnus targets long term, absolute returns for investors by applying a differentiated approach to real estate investing. By placing an emphasis on the acquisition, workout, and disposition of real estate debt assets characterized by their complexity, inefficiency, and niche qualities, we are able to target superior, absolute returns for our investors.


Investment Approach

Cygnus Capital is an alternative asset manager focused on investing in special situation, and opportunistic real estate debt instruments. We operate with the belief that the real estate debt market is fragmented, inefficient, and persistent across economic cycles. We take advantage of these market situations by stepping into the dysfunctional void created when borrowers and lenders cannot or will not work together. By completing workouts of these complex transactions, usually by repositioning the underlying asset or restructuring the debt, we are able to unlock value and retrieve superior, risk-adjusted returns. Our differentiated investment approach is characterized by the specialized analytical, legal, structuring, and workout expertise our team offers. With prior opportunistic real estate investment experience across equity, debt, property type, deal type, and geography, combined with our growing investment platform architecture, we are able to capitalize on attractive value-oriented opportunities.
