We take advantage of these market situations, in both listed and private securities, by stepping into the dysfunctional void created when borrowers and lenders cannot or will not work together. By completing workouts of these transactions, usually by repositioning the underlying asset, restructuring the debt, or simply buying discounted securities and selling back out through a reorganization, we are able to unlock value and retrieve strong risk-adjusted returns.
